Chiou See Anderson

Chiou See Anderson is an entrepreneur, community leader and recognised
advocate for women’s economic inclusion. Arriving in Australia as a young
migrant, she experienced first-hand the challenges of navigating education,
employment and financial independence in a new country. These formative
experiences inform her lifelong commitment to ensuring that all women,
particularly those from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD)
backgrounds, have equitable access to opportunity, security and voice.
At our IWD event, Chiou See will share insights from her lived experience,
business leadership and national advocacy, offering practical solutions
for strengthening economic empowerment, equity and inclusion.
This event is the first of its kind on the Gold Coast, celebrating the
achievements of multicultural women and raising funds for
MFO programs that support CALD women through education,
mentoring and entrepreneurship.
Chiou See Anderson is the Founder of Elements Retirement Living
and Chair of Conpago, and the Immediate Past President of both the
National Council of Women of Queensland and the National Council of
Women of Australia. She has represented Queensland and CALD women
on the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s Women’s Economic Equality
Taskforce and currently serves as Australia’s Head of Delegation
to the G20 Women 20 (W20).
Annick Sadhoo

Annick is a theatre and cultural dance practitioner, community storyteller, and passionate advocate for youth empowerment through the arts. Through her work, she has supported young people to explore identity, belonging and self-expression, using creative practice as a powerful tool for connection and cultural pride. Her journey in the arts has been shaped by a deep commitment to celebrating cultural diversity and creating inclusive spaces where stories from all backgrounds are valued and heard.
Annick has witnessed first-hand the transformative impact of storytelling and performance in strengthening confidence, fostering understanding,
and amplifying young voices within multicultural communities.
At our International Women’s Day event, Annick will share insights from her artistic and community work, highlighting how theatre and cultural dance can inspire social change, promote inclusion, and empower young people to express who they are with confidence and authenticity.
This event celebrates the contributions of multicultural women and the vital role of the arts in building more inclusive, connected and equitable communities.
