At Multicultural Families Organisation (MFO), we are proud to honour and continue the legacy of our beloved colleague and friend, Cornelia Babbage, through the Cornelia Babbage Legacy Grant.
Established in her memory, this annual $3,000 grant celebrates Cornelia’s remarkable dedication to helping others and making a positive difference in the community.
Cornelia was known for her deep empathy, tireless advocacy, and unwavering belief in the power of people to create positive change. This grant honours her legacy by supporting projects and initiatives that make a real difference in the community.

Winner of the 2025 Legacy Grant
Last year, the 2025 Cornelia Babbage Legacy Grant was awarded to Sumia Essid from the Creativity Crochet Club, a wonderful initiative that brings together children, young people, and older adults, including those living with dementia, through the art of crochet.
The grant supported the expansion of workshops and community activities, helping to foster creativity, strengthen connections between generations, and create a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone.
