Building confidence, connection and opportunity
Our Youth Programs provide safe, inclusive and culturally responsive spaces where young people can learn, grown and build confidence.
These programs support school-aged children and teenagers through academic support, social development, and community connection across the Gold Coast.

We help young people develop academic, social and life skills for the future.
Connecting Youth
Connecting Youth is an after-school program that provides a welcoming and supportive space for young people during the school term. Held at Southport Library, the program encourages students to connect with others, build confidence, and engage in positive peer interaction.
Designed for students in Years 5 to 10, the program offers opportunities to:
-
Build confidence and social connections
-
Develop new skills in a supportive environment
-
Receive academic support
-
Share ideas and participate in group activities
-
Engage in meaningful cultural learning experiences
Through our ongoing partnership with selected universities in Japan, students also have the opportunity to connect with visiting university students from a wide range of academic fields, encouraging cross-cultural exchange and global learning experiences.

What our community says
From Student
Thank you for helping me with spelling and math. I really enjoyed the fun games we played while learning. Academic Wellbeing program was fun and helpful to me, I attended the program from year 3 to year 6. Thank you for your support.

From Parent
My child has ADHD and finds reading and writing in English very challenging, which affected his confidence. Through the supportive environment and learning through games, I have seen him slowly regain confidence. We are very grateful the encouragement and support the program has provided.

From Volunteer
It has been a genuinely positive experience for me. The program creates a calm and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking for help and working through challenges at their own pace. I have seen how consistent support, even in small ways, can gradually build students’ confidence and independence. What stands out to me is that the program supports more than just academic progress. It provides a safe and inclusive space where young people from diverse backgrounds feel welcomed and respected. The focus on encouragement, patience, and positive communication helps students develop not only their skills, but also their self-belief. It has been rewarding to contribute to a program that has been supporting the community for many years and continues to make a steady, practical difference in young people’s lives.
